To take full advantage of Synchronic’s rhythmic editing and playback capabilities, you should prepare your “loops” before importing them into Synchronic. You can do this in Pro Tools by editing a clip (loop) on a track in the Edit window and then consolidating the clip. Trim the clip (loop) to an exact bar length. There should be no gap between the start of the clip and the downbeat, and no additional audio at the end of the clip. Once you have defined your loop as a clip, consolidate the clip (Edit > Consolidate Selection) and import the resulting audio file into Synchronic.
